Arriving in Coimbra
Located midway between Porto and Lisboa, it is easy to get here. Here are some options:
From these, there are direct subway connections to central train stations where you can take a train ( operated by CP ) with frequent direct connections to Coimbra:
in Lisbon, Gare do Oriente > Coimbra-B
in Oporto, São Bento > Coimbra-B
From Coimbra-B you can take a free train to city center or take a taxi (approximate cost of 5euros)
Alternatively, there are regular BUS links to Coimbra operated by Rede de Expressos that leave from Sete Rios (in Lisbon) and Campo 24 de Agosto (in Porto). A taxi can then take you to the venue.
From Lisbon, go North through highway A1 to Coimbra. After gas and tolls, the trip costs around 30 euros and takes about 2.5h.
From Oporto, go South, through highway A1 to Coimbra. After gas and tolls, the trip is around 20 euros and takes about 1.5h.
